Press Release

You're nobody until you have a press release. Until you realize that everyone has a press release, and that news stories aren't written by reporters at all, but are just press releases picked up by bots that relentlessly churn through the interminable sea of RSS feeds looking for keywords that are identified by some secret algorithm as being "newsworthy." So you're still nobody even if you have a press release. But at least you're a nobody who's been thoroughly scoured by bots.

Being "scoured by bots" sounds like a spa treatment or soem sexual euphemism ....

I definitely don't think it feels like a spa treatment. Instead, it makes you feel like we live in a cold, human-less world where information is processed and consumed according to constantly evolving digital mechanisms which attempt to determine what data we might find of interest. Cool!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I look forward to being thoroughly scoured sometime in the future then. Not sure what my wife is going to think though. She'll probably just think I been hanging out with my "robot-love friends" again.
