Thanks for reading
Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to download and read the first issue of NYC2123. We've gotten a much bigger response than we expected, but please feel free to help spread the word if you have friends who you think might like it.
We decided to start this blog primarily to get feedback from readers. What do you like? What sucks? What would like to see more or less of in future issues (Issue #2 slated for September)?
As time goes on, we'll also be posting information here about how the comic was created, and if folks are interested we may also post the "source" files under a Creative Commons license so that you can make your own re-mixes.
Last but not least, if you know anyone who might be interested in translating NYC2123 into Japanese, we'd love to hear from you.

love the design, keep it up guys. :]
Great Job!
I'm inspired to write my own graphic novels now.
I have to say it's probably the first "mag" type download for the PSP that I have enjoyed. Keep up the good work guys!
That's one of the main reasons we wanted to do this on the PSP. We've been talking about doing a graphic novel for some time, but when I got my PSP I was a bit disappointed with the potential for cool non-game non-movie content and the reality of how crappy most of the available content was. Very happy you like it -- thanks for the support.
I don't have a PSP, yet, being a brit but I'm getting one and this is going on.
I just read issue 1 with an old-fashioned browser and I'm liking. Always a pleasure to see more good CP out there.
Keep it up!
This is making its rounds in Germany now. Love it - Keep it up!

This is really, really good stuff... You made it from unknown to one of my favs in exactly one part. Keep that up!

Outstanding. But please port this to some version of Palm Reader. Information must be free and all that. Don't limit your audience.
It is free and we are working to make the files available for people to translate into other languages and port to other mobile devices, etc. EPS files for the first issue should be available in the next few days. We are currently trying to decide how to distribute the files as making them publicly available on our site will kill our bandwidth availability. We don't want to make this hard to distribute, but offering this for free limits our ability to buy endless bandwidth. We should have something for everyone in the next few days.
Drop us a line if you know of any channels to distribute the source files. We're all ears.
torrents would be useful. many large scale comic or movie people (like systm and the broken) use torrents. drop me an e-mail if you need help with that stuff. Most palm systems come with some sort of flash viewer, so tossing it into a clickable flash file would work just fine, i would bet. the aspect would be weird, but it should work. I would do it, but its quite late and i have work...
we also may be able to work out some bandwith lending. i have some people that have some spare. i have some too, i think.

Love it.
I enjoyed the artwork and the writing, though the constant narration explaining what we are seeing is annoying. Like in the movie biz, "show us, don't tell us" is a powerful mantra to keep in mind. Right now it reads more like illuminated prose than a graphic novel.
Just wanted to say that what you've done is amazing and easily the most engaging thing I've done with my PSP, including the games.
I've been a comic fan on and off since I was about 12 (i'm now 26) and think that this kind of use of the PSP could really get comics to a lot more people.
Not only is NYC2123 a great use of the PSP, but it's also an amazingly good graphic novel. The art, story and writing are amongst some of the best I've seen.
Well done.
